Technology - the vision

We use plone for good reasons. But we don't want to be limited to plone, our vision is far bigger than that. The Catholic Semantic Web is a huge vision that seeks to improve and enable in new ways the spreading of the gospel.
We seek to contribute to, help foster a standard way for Catholic information to be shared using XML. This should also be able to port whole websites between different systems. Plone is a technology that can be extended to do this. Other technologies can also be extended in this way. We don't want to get bogged down with one technology and so by investing in XML and a Catholic Standard we will be able to port to new technologies (hopefully easily). Once such possibility is pylons.
